OTHER CHARGES
- One session per day, maximum 2-hour hire.
- Only available for hire during these time
- before 4 pm Monday to Friday
- When a trained staff is available to operate the Ball machine
- If the courts are wet or potential rain then the ball machine would not be available for use
- This applies to members and non-members bringing in their own ball machine. No Ball Machine Use after 4pm.
POLICIES
ACTIVE BOOKINGS POLICY
CASUAL BOOKING POLICY
- Monday to Friday – before 4:00 pm and after 8:30 pm only.
- Saturday and Sunday – 7:00 am to 10:30 pm.
- No casual bookings between 4:00 pm and 8:30 pm Monday to Friday.
- Can book online 48 hours in advance.
- Maximum of 2 hours per day.
- All bookings require pre-payment.
- No refund policy – credit will be given for future bookings subject to the cancellation policy.
MEMBERS GUESTS POLICY
- Visitors/Members Guests (peak time) only permitted between 8:30pm-10:30pm Monday to Friday in the company of a Full members. There are no restrictions before 4pm or weekends.
- Day members are permitted to play after 6pm with a full member, with the following discounted rates to apply:
$8 x 1hr, $12 x 1.5h and $15 for 2+ hours.
- For group bookings, a minimum 2 Full members are required per court.
- Day members are still permitted to book courts after 6pm Monday to Friday (max 48hrs before booking).
EXTREME HEAT POLICY
- Players may continue with their booking in extreme heat at their own risk.
- If requested, credit for a casual booking will be given when the temperature is over 35°C or within the first twenty (20) minutes of the booking.
- Casual bookings will receive an SSC Credit. See the Cancellation Policy below.
WET WEATHER POLCY
A decision as to whether courts are playable will be made by SSC Pro shop staff only.
In the event of rain, it is the requirement of the person with the booking to contact the Pro Shop to check if courts are playable.
If courts are playable, any cancellations/no shows would be subject to our late cancellation policy.
If courts are unplayable 4 hours prior to a scheduled booking, members have the option to cancel without any breach recorded.
ARRIVAL POLICY
- This includes all members who have not booked but are playing on the court.
- Confirmation of Member’s bookings must be made by the Member whose name the booking is under.
- Members must present Members Card.
- Any visitor fees or charges are to be paid prior to play.
- If the Pro Shop is unattended, please check in at the Club (Reception).
RACQUET HIRE POLICY
- Any malicious damage to racquets will be at the hirers’ expense ($100-$150).
- Government Issued ID is required when hiring racquets.
GENERAL POLICY
- The Club reserves the right to make price changes without notice.
- The Club also reserves the right to re-assign court allocations at its discretion.
- For online bookings, please ensure you have received confirmation prior to all bookings.
- It is the Member’s responsibility to ensure contact details are correct and up to date.
- Updates can be made at Reception or through the Members portal on the Club’s website.
ON COURT POLICY
- Only SSC Authorised Tennis Coaches are permitted to conduct coaching.
- No baskets of balls are permitted on the court during the booking.
- A maximum of eight balls is permitted per court.
- Exceptions to the above:
- Parents coaching children provided one parent is a Tennis Member.
- When using a Ball Machine.
- A Member who is practising by themselves.
- Suitable Tennis attire is to be worn on the court at all times.
- Members and Casual players must play within the allocated booking times.
- Additional court/visitor fees will apply if the booking is extended. This would also include additional courts.
- All players on the court must be listed on the booking.
- All non-members on the court will be subject to a Visitor Fee including parents who are non-members.
CANCELLATION POLICY
- A minimum of twenty-four (24) hours notice is required for any cancellations.
- There is no refund for cancellation.
- A credit will be given to be used for a future booking providing the required notice is given.
- Credits are valid for three (3) months from the date of booking and cannot be extended.

- You have up to 24 hours before your booking time to finalise your list of participants,
- If your booking is made within 24 hours, please ensure all participants are listed at the time of booking, if there are any issues you have one hour from the time you made your booking to email any participants or make changes to your quest list (email to proshop@strathfieldsportsclub.com.au)
- Bookings can be cancelled online or by contacting the Pro Shop.
- An email notification confirming the cancellation will be sent to the person whose name the booking is made under. Please retain this confirmation.
- The cancellation notice is subject to change. Any change to the policy will be communicated to all Members.
- If you’re late for the booking by more than 15 minutes, you will be considered a NO SHOW and the booking will be removed and a NO SHOW fee applied.
- Cancellations made after the 24-hour notice period has expired will be subject to a cancellation fee that is the same amount as the duration of the booking.
- Any NO SHOW bookings will be subject to a NO SHOW fee that is the same amount as the duration of the booking.
- Any bookings that finish more than 30 minutes early are subject to a $25 cancellation fee (e.g. booked for 2 hours booking but finished after 1 hour).
- All Tennis Bookings are the responsibility of the member making the booking
- Exceptions will be made due to inclement weather/extreme heat.
THREE STRIKE POLICIES
Strathfield Sports Club has adopted a three-strike policy in relation to any breach of Club rules/policies. Minor Breaches
Major Breach Offensive, abusive or inappropriate behaviour towards staff, members or guests will result in suspension pending a disciplinary meeting with the Board. Penalty for Breaches
SSC reserves the right to block booking access until penalties are resolved. |
